The solar industry experienced a large price bump in the year 2021 due to the supply chain and various trading issues. The issues so happen to exist today as well. A lot of this turmoil is causing a bit of an uproar and it is working against Joe Biden's very own renewables movement. He has the goal of trying to decarbonise everything but if things do not work in his favour soon then this may be brought to a bit of a halt. A review has been conducted and they have found that the price for solar energy rocketed by nearly 20% and that a third of the projects that were due to take place in the fourth quarter have now been pushed well into 2022.
The report has been published and they have found that the US is now on track to deploy no more than 39% of the total solar capacity that is needed by the time the decade is over. If they do not achieve this goal, then they will not be able to meet the decarbonisation goals that Biden has set. This is also interfering with the ITC as well. When you look at the face of uncertainty right now you will see that it is now more important than ever to ramp up things like clean energy. It is also very important to eliminate things such as the reliance the country has on more hostile nations. This is especially the case with Russia. Countries are now trying to seek alternative ways of getting the energy that they need, and this is not easy for them. That being said, more needs to be done to ensure that people are given the support they need and it's also important that the country gets things back on track with their decarbonisation goals.
