Associate Director of Structures, Basingstoke, UK 
Daksta are working alongside a leading Tier 1, Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy, who are looking to hire a highly experienced Structural Engineer with a proven track record in project delivery, team development, work winning and client management. 
As an Associate Director, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the local Structural Engineering team, as well as being a key member of the Buildings and Places Leadership Team. The right candidate will need to demonstrate a desire to be challenged. You will be a key member of the team and the role will have significant elements of representing the technical team in a client facing environment.  You will therefore need to be adept at engaging with clients and other professions at the inception stage of projects and use your engineering expertise to make a significant contribution to emerging design concepts. Minimum Requirements 
• Excellent knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques and procedures 
• Current experience of leading and managing structural engineering design projects 
• Wide ranging experience in Building Structures across a number of market sectors, in particular a proven ability to establish structural design concepts and deliverable design schemes 
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts, professional agreements and experience in client engagement during the preparation of fee proposals and agreeing scopes of service
• Proven leadership skills, including business development, client relationship management, technical leadership, team building and motivation 
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and professional agreements and experience in negotiating fee agreements. 
• Ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously
• Proven ability to undertake structural design using current British Standards and Eurocodes
Preferred Qualifications 
• Degree qualified 
• Chartered Engineer (CEng), Member of either the Institution of Civil Engineers and/or the Institution of Structural Engineers.
