How would you like to become a member of the senior leadership team responsible for the delivery of a €20 billion high-tech construction project? The largest facility of its type in Europe!
You will be a part of the global leading engineering consultancy who have a long history of delivering similar project across the world, who will support you in your position for the successful delivery of the project!
Your mission:
To manage, control and deliver a discipline area of a project and several smaller projects simultaneously to the satisfaction of both the company and client
What you will be challenged with:
- To ensure that all statutory and company safety requirements are met
- To ensure that company procedures are complied with, and that relevant information is communicated with the project staff
- To develop good relationships with the client and potential clients along with their respective advisors
- To work with the Operations / Project Director ensuring that the projects are adequately staffed by suitably qualified and experienced staff and that future needs are identified
- To ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, the company is protected during contract negotiations, on-site works and post contract discussions
- To foster relationships with Project consultants & contractor personnel
- By working with heads of individual departments ensure that staff training is kept up to date and that regular personnel reviews & succession plans are undertaken, identified and progressed accordingly
- Lead by example setting the required standards of behaviour and conduct for the project
- Communicate the project strategy & programme with the project team ensuring the objectives are met and understood
- Liaise with the procurement lead during the package letting process, interview & progress tenders through to construction
- Liaise with all other parties to the Project including technical input to design & procurement
- Manage all Contractors & Suppliers on the Project
- Have commercial awareness to control Contractor's site instructions & contract extra's
- Hold regular progress meetings with Contractors & Suppliers, monitor & instigate changes to maintain the Project Programme.
What you need to bring to the table:
- Degree & postgraduate (Engineering, Commercial / Business, Construction / Project Management)
- 20 years' experience (General or Sub-Contracting, EPCM, Manufacturing Site - Project Management)
- History of successfully delivering large, multi-million euro Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas or similar EPC Projects.
- Relevant training certificates (EHS, GMP, PMI or similar)
- German Language skills desirable
