It was part of a new network that consisted of over 10 docks and these all hugged the banks of the River Thames. It is also known as the Surrey Commercial Docks and they have seen a huge boom in trading activity. They have done this ever since the 19th century and the docks are named after all of the countries that goods were shipped to. For example, the Canada Dock is named after Canada.
When you look at transportation and even technology however, you will find that these have been developed throughout the entire 20th century and the role of these hubs has certainly declined over the years. The problem is that by the end of the 1960's, a lot of them had closed down for good. The Canada dock is now known as being Canada Water and they are known for the stations that serve the London Overground and even the Jubilee lines as well.
British Land is planning to transform the reputation of Canada Water and all of this is being done under the leadership of Roger Madelin. He is the mastermind behind Argent's own regeneration of the Kings Cross and the British genius behind a ton of other projects. They have even submitted a plan to regenerate the 21ha site as well.
The recession began to subside at the end of 2012 and he has recalled how Argent spent a lot of the time playing catch-up on King's Cross. The returns on the investment are certainly going to change and when you look at Canada Water, you will see that Britain's balance sheet will help to really provide everyone with the peace of mind they need. Those who work in construction jobs will find this especially interesting.
