The Trudeau government are trying to make training a priority. This is especially the case when you look at the federal budget last month. The Business Council of Manitoba have stated that they have thousands of job vacancies available, but they don't have anyone who is qualified enough to try and fill them. They have stated that they need to get the word out about that. These jobs are across a huge range of trades and it even includes the health and engineering business too. They are even well-paying, but they don't have enough people to get them through.
RCC have expanded their facilities and they are also working hard to try and construct a brand-new building in the Exchange District. They are trying to desperately meet the need of any new skilled workers that they can. The Notre Dame expansion is called the Skilled Trades and Tech Centre. This will be able to accommodate over 1,000 students every single year and they are also working with those who operate in high-demand trades too. This can include carpentry, heating and electrical.
That will allow people to train more workers in the field and they are also working hard to expand the downtown campus simultaneously. They are surveying all of the graduates in the last six months and they are also trying to find those who are consistent. It essentially means that there is a guarantee that if you have an accredit from RRC, you will eventually be able to find the work that you want to do, which is really great if you happen to work in trade recruitment or even in trade jobs. The work they are doing really is beyond measure.
