The CIPD have Teamed up with Researchers to Tackle the Puzzle of Productivity

The CIPD have teamed up with some of the top researchers around to try and find out why the UK has such an issue with productivity. Jobs which require a huge amount of effort, including labour jobs are also affected. Labour recruitment agencies are also trying to find out why employers are finding it difficult to ensure that everyone has a high-quality and inclusive workplace.

Seven Universities have Teamed Up

The CIPD have teamed up with various experts from seven different universities to see if they can translate some of the cutting-edge evidence to find out how wellbeing and performance factors into the tools which are used for business. The PrOPEL hub has taken a lot of research evidence onboard to try and cut through some of the academic jargon that is happening right now, and they are also working hard to try and turn everything into a practical lesson. There are so many guides out there that are helping businesses of all different sizes to try and explore a brand-new way of working. The CIPD and the members are going to play a huge role in making sure that content is shaping well and putting everything into perspective. The insights are also going to inform CIPD resources and guidance is going to really help the new profession map too.

Of course, professor Roy who is the director over at the PrOPEL hub has stated that as the fallout of lockdown carries on, it's important that evidence is used to try and make sure that any crucial decisions are made and that over the coming weeks to make sure that people are getting the guidance they need to really feel confident in their abilities. It's going to be interesting to see what comes from this.
