The Proton Exchange Membrane Tech has Evolved

When it comes to advanced technology, protein exchange membrane has its beginnings in the space program. When you break everything you will soon find that the objective was to try and prove out new tech that would be used for the Apollo moon mission. Of course, NASA scientists have to do what they can to try and make each piece of tech last longer than the battery packs that they currently had. At the time, one thing to take note of is that the hydrogen would eventually be passed to a PEM fuel cell. This is going to be used to generate a lot of power for electrical equipment. This approach was very successful and it just goes to show how beneficial the scheme would be for NASA overall. They are doing a lot of work to ensure that everything is durable and reliable. PEMS have continued to improve since and the application has also expanded. PEM electrolysis has become a leading method when it comes to chor-alkali production. This is based on the operating scheme that is similar to water electrolysis. The only difference is that the fluid is going to be a concentrated brine solution.

Of course, when you look at all of the advancements that have been made over the years it is really not hard to see how things have changed for the better. If improvements can continue to be made then this will bolster the industry and make it much easier for people to succeed. At the end of the day, only time will tell what is going to be in for the future of the sector but right now it looks like more has to be done to ensure the longevity of the sector so that things can be better for the future.
