There appears to have been a big change in the energy sector. First Solar's very own manufacturing facility has bought out a Perovskite firm. First Solar have now gone as far to acquire Evolar AB and this is an EU firm that are engaged in a range of technology. They have bought the company for a total of $38 million and they are willing to donate up to $42 million for the future so that any milestones can be met properly. First Solar have gone as far to say that the acquisition is going to really ensure the development of tandems and that it is going to support a range of devices too. They are going to carry out a lot of research and they are also going to ensure the development of a lot of personalised development streams. Mark Widmar who is the CEO of the company has said that they do anticipate that there is going to be a lot of PV modules and this is ging to help define the future. He said that the acquisition is going to help with the stream and the expertise. It's said that the solution is going to be low-carbon and that the responsibilities that they have to produce reasonable solar are evident to say the least.
