Huawei has Predicted the Trends which are Shaping the Data Centre Facility

Yang Bifei is the Product Solution Planner at Huawei and he has given a sneak peak into the facilities that they are operating. When you look at 2010 right through to 2019, you will soon see that the data centre facility has experienced a huge amount of growth. The move to the hybrid IT system is continuing to grow and it looks like there is a strong balance between on-premise facilities and the cloud. The rapid development of new technologies, such as the cloud or even AI really does just go to show how much market demand has changed and how this demand needs to be met in the future.

Some of the things that need to be talked about include high-density. CPU and even the server capacity performance needs to be continually increasing as the evolution of IT carries on growing. As the demand for AI applications increases, the importance of computing power grows as well. If you want to balance things out then you need to make sure that data centres are able to develop with a very high density in mind. The average power capacity for a data centre is currently 6-8kW a rack. It's expected to double by the year 2025. If you work in a data centre recruitment agency for data centre jobs then you will know how interesting this is.

Generally, the lifespan of any IT device is between 3-5 years. The power density of course, doubles every five years as well. The data centre facility supports IT evolution for two to three generations. This demands a scalable expansion and it also means that more needs to be done to try and make sure that everything is optimal in general. Only time will tell what the future is going to hold but right now it looks like everything is being done to make sure that things are future-proofed.
